Another room update! I decided to redo the art niche in our living room by adding bead board and a new arrangement. I had painted in this area about 5 years ago and we've had the fountain at least that long. The thing with the fountain though...the water splatters all over our floors, which are wood, so we hardly ever turn it on. I think I can find a new home for it around the house...maybe outside :) So, while I liked the color of the before, I think I really like the crispness of the after. Which do you prefer??

And here's the daytime shot of the new window treatments. What do you think??

Here are some before and after shots of our living room windows. I have been slowly redecorating our living room. Slowly - as in I started this over a year ago! One of the things I really wanted to change was the drapes. I wanted something lighter, airier, and hung higher. Instead of hanging them in between the window and transom, I planned to hang them above the top window to unify the space. The only problem? Drapes that long cost a fortune! Until I happened upon some lovely, white, textured,  118" drapes from Ikea for $39 a window. A WINDOW! not just for a panel...the pair!  Woohoo! I was excited and now I love the new look. Hopefully for tomorrow's post I can give you a daylight shot because the night shot does not do it justice.

We celebrated our Daddy Jack's birthday at the lake this year. It was a fun evening getting to see all who could make it! I took a lot of pictures so bear with me for this post :)

This is Jacob's new obsession...the pantry. He's into everything these days and if it's edible, twice the luck! I'm just glad that the syrup lid stayed on today as he was turning it over and shaking it :)
can you eat too many raisins??? because I think he's probably at the limit, if so.

I found these little cuties camped out in the front yard at the lake house this morning. They are so used to being fed by residents here that they will almost eat out of your hand. So, equipped with my camera and a tortilla, I was able to get a few pictures pretty close.

We had a great day today touring the Texas Wine Country. My sisters, brother, "outlaws", and I all got to spend the day together. We had a lot of laughs and got to explore some neat places.

I took a ton of pictures at my brother's wedding on the 5th. I still need to find some time for some editing but here it one I will share SOOC.
